Managing Director of SportsTec and former Canberra Eclipse player Sarah will oversee the physiotherapy program for Canberra United for the 2018/19 W-League season.

Sarah, a born and bred Canberran, started her soccer career at BelNorth, aged 7. She moved through the ranks of ACT squads, before joining the ACTAS program at 15. Canberra Eclipse, in the former Women’s National Soccer League, beckoned at aged 19, before retirement for Kelly at 21, when the WNSL was put on hold.

On retirement, she made the decision to focus her efforts on physiotherapy. A University of Canberra graduate and qualified Sports physiotherapist, Sarah, along with Oli and Mel, opened up SportsTec on the Kingston Foreshore three years ago.

On scooping the Canberra United contract, Sarah said it signalled a great moment in her career to date.

“Having come through the Canberra soccer pathways and with a particular interest in treating soccer injuries, I’m definitely excited to be able to apply this knowledge to my work with Canberra United in the W-League,” Kelly said.

“We are a young and enthusiastic business and we bring that energy to our work with each of our partners.”

SportsTec Clinic will also be working with the Canberra United Men’s NYL Team in the upcoming season, led by APA sports physio James Pearce.
