I have always had an interest in sport and science. Having dealt with multiple injuries during my time, it was a logical decision to pursue a career in physiotherapy. During my childhood, I had a passion for any sports with a ball, particularly soccer, rugby union and basketball.
I love to dry needle! But jokes aside, I have a particular interest in the injury management of hip, knee and ankles injuries. I have also been enjoying utilizing the pilates equipment since joining SportsTec which has helped broaden my exercise rehabilitation repertoire.
The variety of injuries that I am presented with on a weekly basis. Every week delivers something new, and every patient requires a different approach. I enjoy tailoring my rehabilitation to their needs for their individual sport and specific weaknesses.
Being able to be a part of multiple sporting teams both locally and nationally in different areas and work alongside some excellent physiotherapists who I have continued to learn from.
It would have to be #SportTecGus - because he has a very good physique!
STC has adapted to the COVID-19 crisis:
For those that do not need hands-on treatment or are in the vulnerable person category, we are now offering online physiotherapy and online classes, which are claimable via your health fund rebates.
We are still offering face to face physiotherapy services for those with significant musculoskeletal pain or post-surgical rehabilitation, this may change if the crisis escalates.
We are offering several classes online including Pilates and Mums & Bubs post/antenatal rehabilitation. We’re able to facilitate varied online classes, so if you’re more comfortable with conducting your rehab from home, let us know and we’ll arrange to have you dialled in online to a class.
