Sarah’s special interests include the biomechanics of sports related injuries (particularly football injuries), high-level rehabilitation and dry needling. As former ACTAS and Canberra Eclipse soccer player herself, Sarah has worked for a multitude of high level football teams including, the ACTAS men’s and women’s squads, Canberra United Academy, the Capital Futsal men’s and women’s squads and several other Canberra premier league teams. In July 2016, Sarah was honoured to travel to Myanmar with the Australian u19 Women’s Football Team (Young Matildas) to the AFF Women’s Championship in July 2016. Sarah has been working as the physiotherapist for the Australian Goalball teams since 2013, unfortunately the women’s team narrowly missed out on qualification for Rio 2016. In the coming months, the team will re-focus and start planning for the Paralympic games in Tokyo 2020.
Just to stay extra busy, Sarah is also the physiotherapist for the CBR Brave Ice Hockey Team, Canberra Roller Derby League and the Varsity Roller Derby League. Sarah will continue to work and develop in the sporting field and will complete her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in the next few months.

Melisa has a keen interest in pain management and is currently developing her skills further with University of Sydney in the Master of Science in Medicine (Pain Management) program. She enjoys working closely with patients suffering from long-term back conditions and complex injuries post motor vehicle accidents, with focus on return to full function in daily activities.
With her Occupational Health expertise, Mel is skilled at pre-employment screenings, workplace assessments and ergonomics setups. This enables her to develop appropriate return-to-work rehabilitation for patients suffering from workplace related injuries.
Having completed degrees in Coaching Science and Human Movement, Mel has extensive knowledge of biomechanical analysis as well as exercise prescription to optimise sports performance. She is also a FFA ‘C’ licence coach and has been involved with local footballing clubs, Coerver football academy and also Canberra United Academy squads in the past 10 years. This experience has provided Mel with the footballing knowledge crucial for football-specific rehabilitation of high performance players.
Mel also oversees the aquatic physiotherapy (hydrotherapy) program for STC, which is individually tailored to increase mobility and strength post acute injuries and surgery.

Oliver has special interests in dance rehabilitation, chronic pain management, paediatric physiotherapy and neurological physiotherapy. He comes to physiotherapy from a strong dance background, beginning ballet at six and going on to dance with both the Australian Ballet and West Australian Ballet Companies before retiring due to injury. Oliver is passionate about dance and applying the tools for strength training and rehabilitation he gained from his dance career to assist other dancers.
To meet the demands of ballet Oliver began practising Pilates to strengthen and rehabilitate and went on to become a qualified Pilates Instructor through the Australian Pilates Method Association and ran his own Pilates business. Oliver integrates his knowledge and experience to provide a holistic treatment plan for clients.
Oliver’s enthusiasm for the arts has led him to develop a health promotion project aimed at the reduction of dance injuries, provide physiotherapy services to the leading Ballet school of Athens (KSOT), and train teachers at the Royal Academy of Dance on injury prevention.

Ben graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra in 2013 and has been in private practice ever since. Prior to this Ben had completed a Bachelor in Exercise and Sport Science through the University of Western Sydney in 2009. Ben is also currently studying his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy through the University of Queensland.
Over the past couple of years Ben has been involved with a number of sporting teams including Ainslie and Eastlake NEAFL teams, ACT State and National Oztag Representative teams and ACT Brumbies Schoolboys.
Ben has a passion for all types of physiotherapy including musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, work health and safety, chronic disease management and pre and post surgical rehabilitation.

Kylie has special interests in dance rehabilitation, pre pointe preparation, acute sporting injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, balance and mobility improvements, and strength and conditioning work with particular interest in dance, ballet, pilates and football injuries.
She comes to physiotherapy after completing a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) Dance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). She began her ballet at the age of four and went on to work and train with many Australian independent contemporary dance artists and dance companies including Sydney Dance Company, TasDance, and local dance and arial company -JAAD. After retiring due to repetitive injury she now enjoys social ballroom, latin and ballet classes. Her passion for injury prevention, particularly in young and experienced athletes and dancers is what lead her to a carrier in Physiotherapy with particular focus on clinical pilates. She has completed her pilates training with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute. Kylie also works closely with a local Canberra AFL team.

Benedict is an experienced Massage Therapist with training in Remedial Massage, Sports massage, Shiatsu, Tui Na, Cupping, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Thai Massage modalities.
He has explored many different styles of both massage and body movement practices with a keen interest in body structural balance and corresponding mental wellness – which go hand in hand. Current training passions are Aikido and Acro Yoga.
Starting a committed practice in Sydney in 2009, he then moved to Canberra to continue his practice from 2010 where he worked with an international triathlete team (coached by Darren Smith) for 6 months whilst they trained here in Canberra, learning much from their changing massage requirements with guidance from their Physiotherapist. A number of these athletes competed in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Benedict has also massaged as part of Physio treatments at Yass Wellness Centre during 2013. This furthered his experience in a variety of conditions such as pre and post surgery treatment.
Age care is another area Benedict enjoys working in and has been at Horton House retirement home since 2012 with a particular focus of mobility improvement and pain management.
Kittani joined the STC team in 2015 as a receptionist and is currently studying Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation at the University of Canberra. Kittani is interested in chronic pain management and enjoys the opportunity to learn from the other staff at STC.
In her down time Kittani enjoys gymnastics, riding motorcycles and fitness.
Aniko has joined STC whilst completing her studies in Biomedical Science. She has a keen interest in genetic screening and immunology which she hopes to pursue in research once completing her studies. Aniko has a friendly nature which is utilised well to warmly welcome patients and make them comfortable.
Outside of work and studies, she spends her time playing soccer, futsal and has also taken up AFL this year with the Eastlake Demons.
Carmen has over 12 years of experience working in the Health and Fitness Industry and Medical Centre in various positions; reception, sales, administration, payroll, 2IC and management.
Carmen strives for attention to detail and providing exceptional customer service with a smile.
In Carmen’s spare time she enjoys spending time with family, friends and 3 dogs. She has a special interests in makeup and beauty therapies and graduated from CMA in 2014.
