Chris Wiid

Qualifications

Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Professional Bio

Chris recently completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Canberra in 2023. You may recognise Chris’ face as he completed one of his clinical placements at Sportstec early in 2023. Chris has a passion for helping people and showcased this during his studies as he was ranked top 5 in his university cohort for clinical placement performance.

Chris is a sports fanatic and loves to watch everything from AFL to squash, but rugby union is his favourite. Chris grew up playing rugby and, alongside his university degree, both worked and volunteered with local rugby union and soccer clubs around Canberra as a sports trainer. His experience with on and off field injury management has played a vital role in his development as a physiotherapist and further fuelled his passion to help people return to the field injury-free.

In addition to sport injuries, Chris is also interested in hip and knee pain alongside his interest in helping people with headaches by providing hands-on treatment and strategies to help manage headaches at home.

Chris is always up for a chat about recent sporting results and music so if you’re looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist to listen to you and guide you through your rehab, book in with Chris today!
