Stephen Batger is a physiotherapist and accredited exercise physiologist dedicated to facilitating individuals' recovery from injury and supporting their return to peak performance. Stephen has graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Sydney, a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology in Rehabilitation from Charles Sturt University, and a Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Technology Sydney. Stephen’s clinical interests include athletic rehabilitation and performance development, specifically the management of complex knee and shoulder injuries.
Over his career, Stephen has gained invaluable experience in sports rehabilitation. He has previously served as the club physiotherapist for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, where he honed his skills in managing injuries and optimizing athletes' performance. Since moving to Canberra in 2023, Stephen has accepted the role of physiotherapist for the Canberra Raiders NSW Cup team, where he continues to demonstrate his expertise in providing top-notch care and support to athletes.
As a physiotherapist and exercise physiologist, Stephen has experience treating a wide range of conditions such as ACL injuries, Achilles tendon complaints, rotator cuff injuries, ankle sprains, knee ligament and meniscus injuries, vestibular conditions and osteoarthritis. In his spare time he enjoys exploring Canberra, playing golf and getting away to the coast during the off-season.
